3 Ways to Get the Most out of your Disney Cruise

EEEEEEK! We are going on a Disney Cruise! Back in the early ’90s, my mom took us on a Disney Cruise and I still remember how awesome it was! We got to participate in a parade where we got grass skirts and coconut tops and I was all about it. Now, 25 years later, I’m fortunate enough to go on a Disney Cruise, this time with my husband, two little girls, and my dad and stepmom! I really don’t like wasting time, so I did a little research and found out some tips on how to make the most out of your Disney cruise on The Dream, which goes to Nassau as well as Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.

  1. First-time guests can book onboard experiences 75 days prior to sailing, so I stayed up until midnight exactly 75 days before to ensure I booked the most important experiences which were: Bippity Bop Boutique makeovers for my girls, Frozen Encounter, and Disney Princess Encounter. Trust me you want to do this or all spots will be gone and you’ll be sad you missed it!
  2. On the second night there is a HUGE Pirate Party, I booked my girls pirate makeovers around 6pm, this way we get the full day on the island, and we will be ready in time for the onboard festivities! Hopefully, we won’t have to walk the plank!
  3. From what I have researched EVERYONE dresses for the Pirate Party, so don’t be caught in you modern garb. We plan on getting personalized pirate shirts made for the whole family on Etsy, eye patches, and bandanas. Aaaaarrrrggghhhh!
